Mia Skaaning Jensen
Mia Skaaning Jensen is an experienced finance leader and fractional CFO based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a strong track record from international groups, scale-ups, and owner-led businesses. She combines a solid technical background in accounting, reporting, and tax with many years of hands-on responsibility for group finance, cash flow, and management reporting at the executive level.
She has led finance transformations, redesigned finance functions after mergers and growth, and built reliable reporting and KPI frameworks for boards, CEOs, and investors. Her experience covers group consolidation, Danish GAAP and IFRS, budgeting and forecasting, working capital management, and the practical implementation of new processes and systems.
Mia has a background in audit and statutory reporting, which gives her a strong eye for detail, compliance, and quality, but she is equally focused on turning numbers into clear, decision-ready material for management and boards. She is used to working closely with owners, PE funds, and leadership teams and understands both investor expectations and the everyday realities in the finance function.
Her educational background combines an HD(R), which has given her a strong technical foundation and a high level of expertise within finance and accounting, with an Executive MBA that has strengthened her executive perspective and strategic leadership capabilities. This is complemented by formal board education, adding governance and board-level insight on top of her practical experience in audit and finance leadership.
Today, she supports companies as a fractional and interim CFO, helping them strengthen cash flow, improve reporting quality, and build finance functions that can support the next phase of growth without adding a full-time CFO cost base.
